01The problem
Starting again with only a logo
The choir had had a website before, but it had gone offline and was never recovered. The only thing left to build on was their logo.
Their hosting package was also old, and needed upgrading before it could run WordPress.
No content, no old site to copy, and a tight budget.
02What we did
A website designed with the choir, step by step
- Upgraded their hosting so it could run WordPress
- Asked the choir for the text and images for each page
- Designed a homepage mock-up first, the way we start most WordPress web design projects, to agree the look and colour scheme before building the rest
- Built the full site, including a gallery and songs for visitors to listen to, alongside the usual about and contact pages
- Refined the fonts, spacing and page layouts with the choir until it was exactly how they wanted it
As a non-profit group, the choir couldn’t justify the kind of budget a business would, so we kept the work within what they had agreed to spend.
03The results
A website the choir is happy with
The choir now has a website that shows who they are, with photos and songs that let people hear them before they come to a concert or join. They were very happy with the end result.
