Choosing an Appropriate Domain Name
Often our new clients already have a domain registered, if there has been even a small website on there for some time this can be a slight advantage. However if you are starting from scratch, there are a few considerations when selecting a suitable domain.
The first is do you want your company name? If so is it available?
The alternative and often better option from an SEO perspective is to buy one with your main keyword or keywords included in it, as this will instantly strengthen your website for searches which include those specific words.
If you operate from and are targeting the UK the best extensions are usually .co.uk or .com, although dependent on your specific type of business there are many others available which could be appropriate.
